Broadway Musicals Group

March 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Join us this month for a review of Guys and Dolls, the Broadway show from the ’50s based on Damon Runyon stories about New York City gamblers, one of whom makes a deal with a beautiful Salvation Army missionary to bring “sinners” to her revival meeting in exchange for her affections, while the gamblers use her mission for a “crap” game. Wonderful songs to share and watch clips from, like “Bushel and a Peck,” “If I were a Bell,” “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” and “Fugue for Tinhorns (I’ve Got the Horse Right Here, His name is Paul Revere…).” Large-type lyrics to sing along with, special guest musician (ask for sheet music if you have an instrument to add), and refreshments will be served. Facilitated by NEST members Carol & Bob Robins.
