Have you ever wanted to try yoga, but have been unsure if it’s the right
fit? Chair yoga is designed for everyone, even those with movement
disorders, chronic illness or other bodily limitations. In this presentation,
you’ll have the opportunity to practice simple movements and breath
work that improve circulation, flexibility and balance in a safe space.

Samantha Poyta, MSW, CYT.
Sam Poyta started practicing yoga in 2009 and now teaches yoga to
older adults at Seattle area senior centers, independent and assisted
living facilities and low-income housing communities. A recent graduate
of the University of Washington’s Master of Social Work Program, Sam
spent the last year at the Wallingford Senior Center leading a myriad
of health and wellness programs for seniors, including Chair Yoga and
Tools for People Living with Chronic Pain
