NESTcafe: White Like Me

September 18 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Based on the work of acclaimed anti-racist educator and author Tim Wise, White Like Me explores race and racism in the U.S. through the lens of whiteness and white privilege. In looking back at the race-based white entitlement programs that built the American middle class, Wise provides stunning insight into how this legacy of white privilege continues to shape attitudes, politics, and policy, perpetuating racial inequality and race-driven political resentments today.

Our sincere thanks to the Meaningful Movies Project and the Media Education Foundation for making this movie available to us, and to Lifelong Recreation Program for making available the space at the Brig.

This event is free and open to the public.
