NESTcafé: It’s Grimmer Than You Remember

July 17, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Hamida Bosmajian, Seattle University Emerita Professor, will re-visit
with you “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Hansel and Gretel”, and “Snow
White” and discover dark secrets in the woods! Hamida’s rich teaching
experience included topics such as mythology, children’s literature,
literature and law, and Holocaust literature. She has published and
presented widely in these areas. Her two books Metaphors of Evil and
Sparing the Child: Grief and the Unspeakable in Youth Literature about
Nazism and the Holocaust have made her realize how the symbolism
of fairy tales is indeed a primal source. Join Hamida for coffee, tea, and
good talking.
