Most of us experience intergenerational communication gaps, whether at work, at play or in our families. The mindset of much younger or much older people can feel like foreign territory with a different language. Ignoring generational differences is not an option in modern urban life, in which the generations mix so freely. This presentation describes the world view, built upon experience, of each American generation since WWII. The presentation and discussion aim to increase understanding, decrease assumptions and possibly move us toward more tolerant attitudes and positive communication.
