Welcoming NEST’s New Executive Director

Dear NEST Community:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is with great pleasure that I introduce our new Executive Director, Ahna Machan. Ahna has a deep interest in aging, policy and Virtual Villages, and she brings 20 years of nonprofit leadership to the job.

“I am honored and excited to be part of the amazing Virtual Village of NEST. For years, I have had a passion to empower people with choices to stay independent, vibrant, active, and connected as they age. I am looking forward to meeting NEST members and sharing NEST with others in our community.” – Ahna

Ahna has a solid record of practical experience in fundraising, marketing, systems, board governance, strategic planning, leadership and fiscal management. We’re fortunate to have someone with so much expertise leading NEST in our next phase of development and growth. Please join me in welcoming Ahna. Her official start date is October 21.

The Board also wants to recognize NEST staff members Chris Alin and Rachel Pendragon for holding down the fort these last couple of months. They have done a phenomenal job of seamlessly running our day-to-day operations. Thank you Chris and Rachel!

Sincerely,

Marilyn Spotswood
Acting President, NEST Board of Directors
