About this event
Fall prevention is always an important topic to consider as we get older. It's always paramount to stress this, especially during this time of the year. NEST values the health and safety of our members, volunteers, and community. Not only should we be aware of indoor surroundings, but rain, slick streets and sidewalks covered with leaves, pinecones, and mud present hazards that can be difficult to avoid.
NEST is happy to welcome back Silver Denton, Physical Therapist at the UW Med Center. Silver will focus and demonstrate what to do to improve balance and to reduce the risk of falls to stay safe in our homes by making some changes.
Silver Denton is a physical therapist at the Outpatient Rehab Medicine Clinic at the UW Med Center. Her clinical interests include balance, fall prevention, and pain management. Silver earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the UW. She is a board certified Geriatric Specialist.
