There is a registration fee for non-members, pay what you can from $5 to $10. Please bring cash or check.
Join Sandy Sabersky, founder and Executive Director of Elderwise for a discussion on ways we can be in relationship with our friends and family experiencing cognitive loss. Sandy will share the Elderwise Spirit-Centered Care approach to life with dementia. She will include the Elderwise Ten Tips, The Elderwise Fit Form and sharing friendship with a person living with dementia throughout the lifespan.
Sandy Sabersky, MSPT is co-founder of Elderwise, a non-profit organization spreading the philosophy of Spirit-Centered Care throughout the Seattle area and nationally. Elderwise is a collaborating member of the Memory Hub, a new community space operated by the University of Washington Memory and Brain Wellness Center where they operate their model Adult Day Center three days per week.
Sandy is co-author of The Elderwise Way: A Different Approach to Life with Dementia published in 2020. Elderwise is the recipient of two national awards, the Innovations in Alzheimer’s Caregiving Award in 2021 and the Maude’s Award for Innovations in Alzheimer’s Care in 2022.
