About this event
THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITLIST, PLEASE CONTACT THE NEST OFFICE AT 206-525-6378. WE WILL NOTIFY YOU BY 5:00 PM MONDAY, JULY 29, IF ANY SPACES ARE AVAILABLE.
It’s a hard time for maintaining hope, positivity and sanity in the face of continued war, scary politics, Climate Change and other painful realities. How do we balance staying informed without becoming anxious or outraged beyond control? We know that nobody else is responsible for how we manage stress. What techniques can help us find equanimity, or at least calm?
In this interactive workshop with Rebecca Crichton, Executive Director of Northwest Center of Creative Aging, participants will gain valuable insights and tools to navigate turbulent times with greater equanimity and positivity. We will learn to identify our internal responses to upsetting situations and practice ways to control ourselves before escalating potentially uncomfortable situations.
$20 per attendee (cash or check only at the door), space is limited. Registration is required and closes on Friday, July 26.
Jointly presented by Northwest Center for Creative Aging (NWCCA), Lifetime Learning Center (LLC), and North East Seattle Together (NEST). Immediately following the workshop we will have light refreshments and an opportunity for participants to gather and share insights and takeaways in the Fellowship Hall downstairs from the Fireside Room.
