Some of the ways you can make a difference in a NEST member's life

  • Transportation: Our most requested service. Volunteers provide over 100 rides each month to and from doctor’s appointments, classes, grocery stores, and more.

  • Friendly Visitor: Play a board game, enjoy lively conversations, share coffee, and create a lasting friendship with your neighbor during a regularly scheduled visit with a NEST member.

  • Tech Support: Fix technical issues and help members learn how to use their smartphones, computers, and other gadgets.

  • Household Assistance: Whether it’s vacuuming, helping prepare meals, or cleaning and organizing, our members appreciate having a helping hand around the house.

  • Handyperson: Help keep our members’ homes in top shape by performing minor home repairs such as changing lightbulbs and fixing door hinges.

  • Yardwork: Rake leaves, trim plants, weed gardens, and mow lawns.

  • Group Facilitator: Volunteer facilitators guide interest groups, help discussions flow easily and evenly, and keep everyone on track.

  • Join a Committee: We have several opportunities where your professional skills can help NEST grow. Have a background in marketing, fundraising, programming, or some other skill? Become a volunteer and participate in active, vibrant committees.

  • Administrative Support: Help the NEST team in the office with various administrative tasks.
