Join Tina Hall and Ashica Demira to learn the differences between assisted living communities and nursing homes (also called skilled nursing communities). In this presentation, we will discuss the types of care and service needs provided by
both and what to expect when you move in. We will also share who is an appropriate fit for assisted living communities, and when you might consider a nursing home instead.

Tina Hall, Business Devlopment Manager of ERA Living, has worked in the field of Senior care and housing for over 12 years, both at retirement communities and as an Eldercare Advisor, educating and helping older individuals and their families understand the various types of care options available, and how to access appropriate resources. She enjoys facilitating connections and finding new and creative solutions to common challenges through teamwork. She is a Certified Senior Advisor, a previous Senior Care Coalition Board president, and a very passionate advocate for seniors.

Ashica Demira, MSW, LISW, CSW-G, C-SWHC, is an independent social worker with a skilled nursing background. As an experienced clinician for older adults, families, interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, care communities and healthcare
centers, Ashica is well versed in navigating the continuum of care, assisting in understanding hospitals, geriatric psychiatry, post acute care networks, community resources, and long term care. She is focused on healthcare social work, mental wellness, historical trauma, family healing, gerontology, multigenerational studies and facilitating intergroup dialogue.
